Behind the Mask

Project Type

Original Abstract Painting

Date

February, 2023

Location

Southern California

"Behind the Mask" was created using heavy body acrylics and a swipe technique using a variety of spatulas.

The design was inspired by Mardi Gras ("Fat Tuesday") and all the vibrant colors and party chaos that comes with this day.

When looking at the outline of black paint lines that are throughout the piece, a "mask" popped out at me in the middle of the piece, which helped me come up with the name, "Behind the Mask".
